Work experience:
I started to work at SPACETEC Datengewinnung Ltd., Freiburg (a small town in Southwest Germany, near the border to France and Switzerland) in March 1991 as a project manager. My main duty was to carry out climate investigations beginning with the data acquisition and analysis up to the presentation of the results in form of reports, charts and digital data. Besides a good knowledge of various computer programs this
position required qualified skills in organization and customer service.

Companies: In Germany:

After nearly 5 years of experience at SPACETEC, I decided to set up my own business, together with one of my work colleagues. Our firm "Steinicke & Streifeneder Umweltuntersuchungen" was founded in October 1995. In January 1997 we took over the the section "climate and air hygiene" of SPACETEC Datengewinnung Ltd., Freiburg.

Our main fields of work are
• studies and expert reports in the areas climate, air hygiene, odour and noise
• remote sensing with the latest multisensoral techniques
• meteorological measurement programs
• model calculations
• development of a solar powered mobile ozone measuring station

In the UK:
In September this year (1999) i founded another company in the British Isles, called ERMAP Co. Ltd. (Environmental Research, Media, Audit & Planning Company Limited). The purpose of the company is to provide solutions for environmental problems, to carry out ecological audits for small and medium sized companies or individuals and to give advice & education for the planning of ecological communities. Various forms of new media, such as internet, video-conferencing & computer screen-sharing shall be used to collect & exchange information, network participating people and present the solutions to a wide public for environmental & economic benefit. These activities include; environmental research in different areas,
e.g. pollution of water soil & air, radiation, climatic change, deforestation, chemicals in food & clothing; co-ordination of expert teams; public relation work; seminars & workshops; consulting for private people, initiatives, communities and small companies.

 Other activities:

EPOCH:
Since January 1998 I've been working voluntarily for a European charity organization called EPOCH (= "European People Organization", founded in the UK in 1995, registration no 3182219) which pursues the following aims:

• to develop creative „learning-by-doing" centres for unemployed, retired, disabled and housebound people - for positive actions
within an ecological oriented society.
• to develop eco-friendly logistic infrastructure & communications systems.
• to promote ecological products & services and to educate people and society towards a healthier lifestyle, for themselves and for nature.
• to launch global value exchange networks for eco-products and services.
• to fight for equal opportunities & the right of free movement for everyone regardless of gender, colour, religion, background or nationality

MediNetz:
In November 1998 i was one of the founding members of a project group (MediNetz) to create in Freiburg a service which provides treatment for people without a medical certificate. Why are such projects necessary in Germany? The Act on Benefits for Asylum Seekers passed in 1993 by several political parties largely removed medical care for refugees. For the first time in history of the Federal Republic of Germany it was
decided by law that a group of people in this country had to live below minimum subsistence level. The current situation leads our conscience to offer practical help for refugees. However we demand the removal of the current inhuman situation through abolition of all special laws against immigrants and refugees.
