There is concern in the United States today regarding ground water. Many people want to know about the safety of their domestic water supply. In nature a source of Radon exists in some ground water. This naturally occurring radiation is not generally considered a health risk. However, it could be a health risk to a small percentage of the population.

Another source of radiation in the ground water comes from naturally occurring minerals brought to the surface by the mining industry. The tailings from this industry are usually heaped near the mine entrance. Wind, rain and snow can erode these mounds of tailings scattering the radioactive minerals. Some of the tailings have been used in road building and as fill at construction sights. Over the years communities have been learning about the risk.

Elgin, Illinois also DeKalb and West Chicago are communities taking an active part in learning how the contamination has affected their population. Industry over many years used radioactive products in manufacturing in those communities. The ground water and public water supply are being tested to determine if the radioactive elements have leached into the wells. Thorium and Radium are two of the radioactive elements used in manufacturing in those communities. The Radium Dial Watch Factory has long since been demolished, but the construction material was not disposed into a secure landfill, rather it was scattered throughout the community in the belief it would not put the citizens at risk of contamination. Today the scientific community has more information on the long term exposure and is re-evaluating the risk of leaving the material where it is or moving it into a secure depository.

Many Illinois communities receive electrical power produced by Nuclear Reactors. These Reactors are located near water sources needed for cooling purposes. Some on rivers while others may be on lakes throughout the state. The contamination from this source is man made radiation, not the naturally occurring minerals as stated in the previous paragraphs. Reactors use a man made concentrated radioactive source for the power supply. Thus the risk to the community requires broader research from the scientific community. There are two ways we can look at the risk from Reactors. One is referred to as incidental releases. These are planned releases of radioactive elements into the air. The second source is accidental release of the radioactive elements from the site.

Research is on going as to the risk to the general population. The employees who are employed at these facilities wear dosimeter badges which measure contact with radioactive contamination. When the measurement reaches a particular level of risk the employee is transferred out of the risk area for a period of time. The standards of measurement are spelled out quite clearly in the industry. Employees thus know they are at risk.

However, the general public is not aware of personal risk as no badges are given for their protection. The general public depends upon the health department in the community to notify them when there has been a release of radioactive elements. Since this contamination is airborne it may fall upon the surface of the open water near the facility.

This could put the community water source at risk if the public water supply is drawn from the lake or river near the facility. By the rules and regulations of safety to the public water supply, radioactivity in this water supply is to be tested at four year intervals. This information is to be made available to the customers at least on an annual basis.

It is costly to test and clean all water sources with radioactive contamination. We must spend our resources wisely and treat the water used for drinking and food preparation as the highest priority. We have the knowledge and product availability to do this right now. Every home should take advantage of this knowledge and obtain a point of use product on their water supply as protection and prevention for that family's health and well being.

None of this information may apply to you personally. However, I suggest you read it. Accidents do happen and even people with very healthy teeth may be forced to accept dental restorations at some time in their lives. A popular dental restoration material is porcelain. Be advised the color of this material may consist of radioactive cobalt, uranium or thorium minerals.

Some dental restoration material is gold. In recent years, recycled gold from the space program electrical components has been converted into restoration material. Gold is a communicator in the body electrical system. The body does not require radioactive gold, pure medicinal purpose gold is safer to be placed into the mouth. Keep in mind, any dental restoration material is in place 24 hours a day. If this material is not compatible with the human vibratory energy rate, it will become a health hazard putting the immune system at risk.

We had been testing tobacco products for a number of years. American made cigarettes measured at a safe level in 1985. We invited Phillip Morris R & D personnel to visit us at our laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona. We did a demonstration for our two guests.

Their response was "we knew the product was safe from contamination, but we had never seen a device that measured against the human body such the EAV Dermatron does". Through the U. S. Mail we received a free sample of a new product "Alpine" cigarettes in 1989. To our surprise the product did not test safe. We did not know why, except to say it showed a measurable level of radiation contamination. We returned the sample package urging them to tell us anything they knew about this new brand of cigarettes and the process used.

The sample was sent from the marketing and advertising dept to the research lab in another city. We were curious to know if they were irradiating the tobacco or if intesting postal parcels for explosive devices the products were exposed to gamma ray or X-ray machines. The research department phoned to inquire of our strange request.

We reminded them on the phone of the test we performed in Phoenix. We were told the new product contained a mix of tobacco from America and Central America. This made a large difference in the quality of the product.

Industrial waste is shipped out of the country for burial. Those countries receiving the waste material are paid U S Dollars to receive and store this waste material. There is no monitoring of the end use of the waste. It appears the waste is not buried, but rather disposed of in open air landfills or perhaps spread across the land similar to the method used for fertilizers. In any event, there exists the possibility the radioactive contamination to the tobacco plants occurred from this source. The amount of radioactivity taken up by the plants in the growth cycle would be difficult to measure. Very few existing devices are available to detect this trace amount of contamination. Also there are no regulations regarding health issues in place to monitor the imported product.

We tested other plant products and began to find some of them also contaminated. We wanted to know what was happening. We tested food supplements in packages with new labeling. Once again, the contamination appeared in several of these product lines. How was this happening. Was it from the air or the water where the plants were growing? We learned after many months of research the growing plants were contaminated with

the same radioactive materials as were released at the time of the Chernybol accident in 1986. Government officials indicated that only places in Europe, Russia and Sweden were exposed to this contamination and it was being closely monitored by several governments. We discovered by air sample testing using the EAV Dermatron that indeed the air quality test sample clearly measured this contamination from Chernobyl. It is carried on the wind and comes to earth with the rain, sleet, hail, snow. The reports in 1988 and 1989 told of a band of brown dusty air at the 38,000 foot level that was encircling the earth in the northern hemisphere. It was visible to the airline pilots as they crossed America in their aircraft. So from several sources we had our answer to how the growing plants were contaminated. The effect on the people consuming the plants and plant products would not be evident for some time. At highest risk would be people with weakened immune systems. The risk to the plant life would be mutation of the seeds.

The badly damaged seeds would not be able to reproduce. Those seeds that did reproduce would grow normally or would show visibly irregular growth. The irregular growth patterns should call for the attention of the growers. They need to know what is happening in their fields.

Several products have been developed for use by farmers to clean the soil and create good soil for food production. One product is "Open All". Cleans the soil of radiation contamination as well as many other contaminants.

In 1986 I was introduced to it in Arizona. After a few weeks on the shelves in the stores it disappeared. In 1999 I again learned the product is being produced and distributed in America. All organic farmers will want access to this remarkable product developed by Ev Storey in 1967.

Another label "Cell Food" appeared in health food stores. It appeared to be the same product, but in smaller bottles with directions on use for the human body. Study would need to be done to determine if it indeed could reverse radiation contamination from plant substance within the human digestive tract.

Radiation in Animals

This seems difficult to believe. Our research began when we noticed small animals losing their fur and the skin exhibiting many sore spots. The animals were irritable and lacked appetite. At the time, 1989, the owners were given ointments to apply on the animals to give them relief from the continuous scratching. Many owners told us it wasn't enough to help their animals and they were very concerned. Since our work was with adult humans, I did not see where we could get time to research the issue. We did not own any pets so there was no urgency on our part.

As time went on several of our patients asked for help in treating their pets. Their pets were very important to them. We agreed to look into the problem. In the mean time we gave homeopathic remedies to give to the pets. Chamomilla to soothe them and Cantharis to assist in urinary cleansing. We were not aware of any radioactive contamination to animals. We were busy researching ways to reverse the contamination in humans as our top priority.

In testing some brands of pet foods we discovered there indeed was some level of contamination to the food. The chemical BHT and BHA were two such items on the label on the product container. Both are contaminants and placed into the product to give it a longer shelf life. It retards rancidity of the oils in the product. Animals cannot exist on cereal grains entirely, some oil is vital to their good health and must be included in the daily diet. Clearly stated on the label of some dry animal foods are instructions to add a measure of edible oil along with the dry food in the animal food dish.

We thought we found the answer to the problem, however, we learned chemicals were only a part of the problem. We also learned a new method of drying cereal grains was being introduced into the manufacturing process This process involves the use of microwave energy. Microwave energy works from the center of the grain to the outside.

Microwave energy "to quote from Hans Hertel, a scientist from Switzerland" in cooking changes the nutrients so that changes take place in the blood, these are not healthy changes but changes that could cause deterioration in the human system.

Hans worked with Bernard H Blanc of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and the University Institute for Biochemistry. "There is extensive scientific literature concerning the hazardous effects of direct microwave radiation on living systems. It is astonishing, therefore, to realize how little effort has been made to replace this detrimental technique of microwaves with technology more in accordance with nature."

Humans can exist 42 days without food as demonstrated by several military officers who were rescued at sea. Without water it is said a human can exist for 6 to 7 days. Infants certainly cannot live that long as dehydration takes effect quickly on infants in a febrile state. In regard to the air we breathe, the claim is 4 minutes without oxygen to the brain can cause death.

What effect is radiation contamination on the air we breathe. This is an interesting area of research. Safety controls for workers exposed to radioactivity have been developed and put into place. Measuring devices for beta and gamma levels are made available to the employees. There are machines the worker passes through that gives off an audible alarm in the presence of gamma radiation. Some machines also measure Beta radiation.

Gamma passes quickly through human tissue and can be hazardous with repeated or prolonged exposure. Beta can be ingested and harm internal organs such as the pancreas and the stomach. This might occur when employees eat their lunches in a lunchroom exposed to radiation contamination without their knowledge.

Alpha radiation is not considered a high risk. The measuring devices used in the workplace are not set to monitor Alpha level radiation contamination. Alpha does not penetrate the skin and recommendations in the past have been to simply scrub the skin thoroughly to cleanse the body of such contamination. However, alpha level can get into the air and is breathed into the body via the respiratory system. This air can create contamination in the lung tissue by radon daughters, a product created in the decay cycle of radioactive elements. Dr. John Gofman has published material on the effects of alpha radiation on the human body. He is associated with the "Committee for Nuclear Responsibility" Post office box 11207, San Francisco, CA 94101 USA "Radiation-Induced Cancer from Low-Dose Exposure: an Independent Analysis is also a published work of Dr. John Gofman, M.D., Ph.D.

While doing our research work on radioactivity much of the information on atomic and nuclear science was classified by the government and not available to the public. Since we did not know the effects of alpha radiation Ben was not cautious in doing this research work. After repeated and prolonged exposure to radon gas his respiratory system degenerated and infection set in. Several medical doctors from a variety of countries contributed all they knew about the effect of this infection and offered little hope for his survival. With their help we did keep Ben alive on oxygen support, anti-inflammatory products and antibiotics for about 4 years. Generally medicine in America is successful in keeping a person contaminated like Ben was alive for only a few months.

Now that the veil of secrecy is lifted, we are learning about product availability to reduce the risk of degeneration from radiation contamination. The variety of product available is remarkable and without the computer "Internet" it would not be possible to learn of the availability.

In 1999 I was introduced to more food supplements and food products that also have the ability to counteract the effects of radioactive contamination. Mustard Seed, Garlic, Modifilan (brown kelp) from the northern pacific ocean to name a few. With this knowledge I know what is available to support my immune system. The "Cell Food" product is also available to assist the body in releasing the contamination through the urinary system with the drinking of clean water. Magnetically treated water is effective when "Living Water System" is used. It is produced by Nikken Wellness and Technology. 

The process used in the food industry began in 1943. The first items to be zapped with 100,000 rads of radiation were imported teas. Next began the irradiation of imported spices. No studies were done to prove the safety of the finished product, it was deemed safe as a method of controlling bacteria from entering the country. In recent years a change was introduced increasing to 300,000 rads of radiation on these items.

Meals ready to eat, MRE's used by the military, are also zapped by irradiation. No mention of this process was required to be printed on the labels. When a few people began to question the process, a recommendation was made. The suggestion was an issue of safety in the food processing industry. In order not to zap the foods twice, the wholesale irradiated products would be labeled. The processor receiving the products with this labeling would know they could not use these products in com-bination with theirs for additional irradiation processing. Many journalists reported in printed articles that in 1986 a radura symbol would appear on products that had been treated with irradiation. They did not follow up to learn the radura symbol was simply a recommendation to be included in regulations but if not implemented by 1988 the issue would be dead. This is exactly what happened. It was only a regulation, not a law. The radura did not appear. The public believed the food was not irradiated and the issue stopped appearing in print material across the country.

E-coli contaminated meat incidents are breathing life into the once dying food irradiation industry. Irradiation will not make contaminated meat safe, nor will it get rid of all E.Coli bacteria.

The answer is to clean up the filthy meat plants, halt sloppy slaughtering practices, and put federal inspectors back on the side of the consumers.

Cesium 137, a nuclear fission by-product is used in this process. Cesium is an internal emitter. Also used is Cobalt 60, a medical nuclear waste product. Cesium affects muscle tissue, Plutonium affects lungs and soft tissue, Strontium 90 affects bones. All are alpha and beta particles and are nuclear fission by-products. Authors believe genetic predisposition to cell mutation has resulted in wide spread cancer in young people living in Utah. Teens contracting and being diagnosed terminal with cancer that began at conception. Being widely ignored as health risk by authorities due to secrecy of NRC based on actions in 1951 by AEC to develop nuclear at all costs. "Quote they said, let nothing stop these tests". We are told the nuclear testing has been halted. However, there is no evidence

in print material to confirm the data. To keep nuclear missiles ready for deployment by the military in the defense of the country, Tritium levels must be tested and replenished as needed. Tritium is no longer manufactured in America, we receive that supply from Canada under the Free Trade Act between Canada and America. Tritium is an alpha emitter which enters the body through the respiratory system. We must remain alert. 

Radiation in Building Materials

Lusterware was the first name I can recall. The houses were constructed in Illinois. Single story homes without garages. They are pastel colors, green, blue and yellow. The history of the occupants and their health records may reveal the inherent risk of using this material or confirm there was in fact, no risk. Many homes constructed of this material are occupied by families in the town where I live. The French recycle large quantities of radioactive nuclear waste in huge furnaces. The material is converted into a glass like product and as such is stored in depositories in many countries for safekeeping from leeching into the ground water. Perhaps some of this material is being used as glass construction material. I feel certain someone is investigating this issue at the present time.

The government yesterday said it will release the long-secret health records of 200,000 people who performed some of the riskiest tasks in building nuclear weapons. The information, dating to the start of U. S. atomic bomb building in the early 1940's, is considered by experts to be the nation's most detailed information about the long term effects on human health of chronic exposure to low-level radiation.

A court-supervised group, the Three Mile Island Public Health Fund, sued the Energy Department for release of the documents in 1987 after the department rejected a request for the data under the Freedom of Information Act. The group was formed after the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant accident in 1979. Scientific interest in the data has grown since the National Research Council reported in a study last December that low-level exposures to X-rays and gamma rays post a cancer risk three to four times greater than previously believed.

British scientist linked cancer, weapons plants. 

I mention Dr. Alice Stewart's name here because Homeopathy is widely used in England. I purchased many of my test remedies from a pharmacy in England as the remedies for radioactive elements were not available for purchase here in America.

Yes, Homeopathic remedies are available through Dolisos, Inc but those remedies were only for the natural mineral elements of Strontium, Uranium and Cobalt. I needed the remedies also for the man-made radioactive elements. One that was not available to me was a remedy for Plutonium. I was told it is too dangerous a substance to be brought into the laboratory for processing into a remedy. They would have to build a separate laboratory just to produce that one remedy. The cost would be prohibitive to use the product for research scientists. 

We tested a number of people over the years. Some worked in the Uranium mining industry in Colorado. Others at Mercury Mine Site in Nevada, just north of Las Vegas. Several worked at the new Palo Verde Nuclear Power Station in Arizona. One man while in the Army was aboard the first nuclear submarine that crossed under the ice cap at the Artic Circle. Two many to count were people who received radiation treatments for cancer therapy or multiple X-rays over a period of years.

Since the medical data on this type of blood contamination had not been released outside the government, we had to start from scratch to determine why these people and their chronic conditions came to us for help. Our work was only word of mouth, we did not advertise our services. I had heard Orville Kelly speak on the radio in the 1970's while living in western Illinois. He wrote a book "Make Today Count". As a journalist working in Burlington, Iowa he had a forum to make public his medical condition. I believed he had been contaminated by the nuclear fallout while he was stationed in the military in the Marshall Islands. None of the medical community agreed with this theory. The VA did everything it could to deny him medical benefits for disability as a result of his service record. He had a wife and four children to support. He appealed to Congress several times. Finally an agreement was reached to grant him a medical disability pension. However, he died before receiving any money. Pensions are not passed on to the family.

With this small amount of information available to me about nuclear fallout I stretchedmyself far out in scientific research. I ordered homeopathic products from Dolisos, Inc. The lst product was "Uranium" in a 30X potency. While in San Francisco at a medical conference we were asked to test Betsy Manning, an author specializing in the area of mercury poisoning from dental materials. The test demonstrated an unknown in her blood. I brought out the new homeopathic remedy "Uranium" to see if this was the mystery element. We had not tested it previously at our lab in Arizona. We were verysurprised to learn this remedy brought the blood measurement point finally to "50", the ideal balance point for the human body. What we didn't know at the time was how this woman was exposed to Uranium. 

This was the first of many homeopathic remedy tests we conducted in 1985 and 1986.

We expanded our list to Strontium, Cobalt, Barium, Thorium, Cesium, Radon and Radium Bromide. The Barium, Thorium, Cesium and Radon we bought from England.

When we established a protocol with this variety of products and homeopathic remedies we were able to more quickly determine the need of a person being tested. From taking six hours to test we now were able to do the test in less than 2 hours. In some cases we were able to finish the test in 20 minutes. What we did not know was the long term effect the exposure to radioactive elements would have. We could balance a person to "50" but for how long? We did not know the point of no return without continued testing.

The point of no return on the EAV Dermatron is when the measurement reading is "19" or less. At that point the person can live only 2 years at the most. Too much degeneration of vital organs has occurred, the cells cannot reproduce in sufficient quantity to sustain life. Ben was exposed to radioactive elements in Phoenix, Arizona in our laboratory. He was not personally concerned as his blood measurement was always at "50". In Hawaii he was never exposed to nuclear fallout. We moved to California where he continued his research work on radioactive materials. He knew nature had a way to balance itself, it was just a matter of trial and error until he could discover that balance. He did discover the answer, and developed a water treatment system that would remove all contamination including radioactive substances, but by then he was exposed and developed infection in his bronchia's. 

We worked with many medical doctors from around the world seeking the answer to cure this deep infection. We were able to keep him alive about 4 years with extreme diligence as to his care. Pure water for drinking and bathing, special high energy foods, hormone therapy from Romania, homeopathic remedies from England, antibiotics developed in Germany and full time oxygen support from large H and K size tanks.

I last measured Ben using the EAV Dermatron on February 12, 1993. His reading on the blood measurement point was "19". I knew what that meant and so did he. We did not speak, only that he said to me, "do not test me again". Despite all we knew to sustain life, Ben passed away on February 1st of 1995. COPD was the cause of death. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease as titled by the medical community. He did not die from Cancer. No mention was made of the contamination caused by the radioactive elements he was exposed to in his research work. God will reward him for his dedication to others in finding the truth about the effects of long term exposure to radioactive products. Ben would say to me, "it is Hawaiian tradition, for something good to come into existence for mankind, a life must be given as payment". Ben was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1921.

He could have stayed in his native Hawaii but he felt called to find the truth about radiation to help others. His research work began in the spring of 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona. It continued in San Gabriel, Pasadena, Chula Vista and San Diego in California.

He passed away in Southern California quietly early in the morning before the new day began. He gave me permission to write of his work and love for people which I did and had published. "Radiation, The Hidden Enemy" was available for sale in April, 1995 and I believe he knows and is pleased with my effort to thank him on behalf of myself and so many others who have benefited from his love and dedication to Hawaiian Tradition of Kahuna Healers. He may have been one of the last in his line of family healers called Kahuna.
